Often, the allegations alone are enough to damage a person’s life, causing the accused to lose familial relationships, employment, and freedom. Collateral consequences from a Child Pornography related conviction may even result in your removal from the United States if you are not a citizen. It is important to choose an attorney who has experience handling these delicate cases. Collateral Consequences of Criminal Convictions may include, and are not limited to the following:
- Loss of your freedom
- Loss of your job

Our New York Child Pornography Defense Lawyers think outside the box to give you the best possibility of having success with your case. We work closely with investigators, psychologists, psychiatrists, and inpatient treatment facilities to give our clients as many options as possible in defending their case. In addition to the consequences that state charges of Child Pornography may bring, Federal Child Pornography charges may subject you to a lengthy prison sentence if you are convicted.
We also recognize that in many cases possession of child pornography is best addressed by utilizing therapeutic measures, as opposed to punitive measures such as incarceration. Jail will to address an underlying mental health factor which may cause a person to gravitate toward illegal images. We also recognize that many alleged offenders have a history of having been victimized themselves, making therapy even more essential.
If you have prior felony convictions, you may face a higher sentence, which may include life in prison.
